Unique Discovery Coin

THIS IS ANOTHER UNIQUE DISCOVERY MINT ERROR

  • This is a multiple struck Jefferson Nickel (1964-1994)

  • Struck at least 4 times, all off-center overlaping each other

  • The reverse is indented by a blank or capped die

  • It is struck on a planchet which weighs 4.04 grams and has a straight clipped edge

  • This straight clip is the result of this planchet being punched at the end of the strip

This is a Jefferson Nickel that is struck on a clad Quarter Stock punched to Nickel size. In addition it has all of the multiple errors listed above. This is a spectacular and dramatic multiple error. There is no logical explanation why clad Quarter stock was used to punch Nickel blanks the size of Nickels. This Nickel has multiple errors making this a unique coin.
